Please note that these are local auditions and therefore only open to New Zealand residents or those permitted to work or eligible for a work visa in New Zealand.
Important Dates:
• Applications close: Friday 15 March, 2013
• Audition requirements available: Monday 18 March, 2013
• Recorded auditions due by: Tuesday 7 May, 2013
• Live audition date: Monday 13 May, 2013 (Wellington, New Zealand)
LIVE AUDITIONS
Live candidates will be advised on arrival at the audition which excerpts will be required. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra tunes at A440. Auditions will be unaccompanied.
RECORDED AUDITIONS
If you are unable to travel to Wellington for the live audition, you may submit a filmed audition recording (must be video and audio). All excerpts must be indexed/chaptered. When sending the recording electronically, the format must be one of the following: MPEG2, MPEG4, MOV, or WMV.
Recorded auditions must not be edited and must be recorded on the same day in the same venue. We recommend using a high quality microphone in a professional recording environment. Auditions must be recorded unaccompanied. Only recordings that follow the audition requirements will be accepted. Recording information and checklist:
